There are so many database products to choose from nowadays. It can help to understand the overall landscape and how the available alternatives can be grouped into five (or six) categories: key-value, wide column, document, graph, search, and Hadoop/Spark.
The goal of this presentation is to briefly explain strengths and weaknesses of each category, so that participants are able to choose the right tool for the job in each circumstance.
