The AVIO project is a Python based approach of bringing together visual media with audio, especially music. This lecture gives a general overview and invites you to join this playful project.
AVIO is built with Isomer and consists of various integrated components that comprise an easy to use interface that allows synchronized processing and mixing of various input datastreams. Already implemented data sources are opencv cameras, animated gifs, MIDI, osc, various sensors and mqtt as well as human interface devices like gamepads, space navigators or joysticks. The talk consists of: * an overview * some particular technological details * demos of what's already possible * an outlook into AVIO's possible future (e.g. as embedded modular device)
